Weather report

Since we began lockdown, we've had a variety of weather - from not far above freezing to sunburn-inducing. This is England, so of course we all go about our (somewhat reduced) business, both resigned to and aghast at the weather's fickleness.

For our household, the recent spate of glorious weather has greatly increased our living space. There are five of us in a three bedroomed terrace (the old sitting room now a fourth bedroom), with office space squeezed into every nook and cranny. So when the weather is warm, the addition of 70 feet of garden feels as though we're suddenly free to move properly, to soak up vitamin D, look a bit less pasty, breathe in air which for once might not be laden with fumes. It's enough of a tonic that even today, with the temperature lower than it's been for days, we've still been out there seeking sun and space. We'll see what happens when the rain inevitably returns.
